Alyssa Nassner: Cute Cactus

I was in a super time crunch this week, but I still wanted to make a pattern - quite the dilemma. Instead of fretting over an over planned pattern I decided to challenge myself with making a cute one from only a single icon. Overall this pattern probably took me less than an hour to ink, color, and repeat - not too shabby.

I hope everyone is having a fun week. I know I've been enjoying my work time at home, out of the Minnesota cold. I would love to be in a place where these cacti are growing right about now. You people in warmer climates are lucky!

Alyssa Nassner: Wooden Shoes and Tulips

When Alyssa knew I was doing tulips, she flipped out and told me she was going to do a wooden shoe pattern with some tulips if I didn't. Since I went the more serious route and did a toile pattern, she did a nice lil wooden shoe and tulip pattern for you all. She told me when she was making this pattern that the inspiration came from a wooden shoe that her Dad had acquired from Holland. Coming from the East Coast she saw a lot of Dutch Amish folk art that inspired her artistically. So here it is, and enjoy!
